Giving back is a priority for Monroe’s
Critics of the world of adult entertainment have found the industry to be an easy target over the years, with accusations that most gentlemen’s clubs are hubs for illegal activity and human trafficking, and in some cases some of their complaints have been justified with shady management tactics and unfair labor practices.
But one management group has gone out of it’s way to change the perception that some have of Gentlemen’s clubs in South Florida. Unconquered Management, which owns and operates Monroe’s of Palm Beach, Double Dee’s Saloon and the recently re branded The Manor of Palm Beach, has spent the last five years giving back to the communities of West Palm Beach.
These clubs have contributed tens of thousands of dollars in toys and donations to charity groups such as the Children’s Healing Institute, Palms West Children’s Hospital and the Big Dog Rescue Ranch.
Most people feel the urge to give when holiday season approaches, but for the past 4 years, Monroe’s of Palm Beach has hosted a Christmas in July toy drive that has raised thousands in cash donations and toys for the Children’s Healing Institute. For Valentine’s Day, Monroe’s hosted a “Build A Bear” event at a local mall that saw children, stricken with cancer and other terminal illnesses receive their own bears for the holiday. The team at Unconquered was back at it again for Halloween delivering thousands of dollars of costumes for those same children.
Besides the toy drives and the holiday events for children, the Unconquered Management has sponsored several car shows that have raised thousands for the Big Dog Ranch Rescue Ranch.
When interviewed for this story, owner Scott Lizza went on record saying, “Being voted Club of the Year”means nothing if we aren’t able to give back to the community that supports us.
When entering the field from the club house at Yankee Stadium, there is a sign that hangs in the narrow hallway that says,” I want to thank the good lord for making me a Yankee,” Joe DiMagio. There is a similar hallway entering the offices at Unconquered Management, with a sign that says, “Giving is the master key to success, in all applications of human life.”
