What made the 2008 New York Giants win at Super Bowl XLII so incredible was that no one expected the 9 and 7 G-Men to upset the heavily favored 18 and 0 New England Patriots. What made the 2016 Lebron James led Cleveland Cavaliers win over the 73 and 9 ( best record in NBA history ) Golden State Warriors after being down 3 to 1 so amazing, was that again no one expected it.
So does this same principle apply to the best steak house in West Palm Beach? Who would expect that one of the best steak houses in South Florida would be attached to an adult night club? No one. So maybe that’s why foodies and culinary carnivores say hands down the best steaks in West palm Beach are at Legend’s Lounge.
Legend’s Lounge is the restaurant connected to Monroe’s of Palm Beach, where customers enjoy 5 star dining and impeccable white glove service. Over the past 6 years, not only has Monroe’s won several top awards as the best nightclub in the country, but it’s steak house is mentioned with other top steak house’s in the Palm Beach area, such as Meat Market and Ruth Chris as the top steak joints in the county.
Renowned chef and food critic Eric Henry visited Legend’s Lounge last week and raved about some of their top signature dishes. He went on record saying that what separated Legend’s from other steak houses in the Palm Beach area is their 36 oz Bone-in Ribeye Tomahawk Steak is kept fresh, where other top steak restaurants serve a frozen Tomahawk. Another steak he gushed over was the 6 oz filet, which was flame broiled to perfection, using very little seasoning to allow the true taste of the steak.
The top chef, who has worked both front and back of the house in several 4 and 5 star restaurants, told the in house video crew, who was shooting his visit, the true test for a filet is cutting it with a butter knife, which he did with ease while carving his filet.
Henry was equally impressed with two of Legend’s Casa Mia pasta dishes, saying their Fettuccine Bolognese was as good as any served in the finest Italian restaurants in South Florida. Another Casa Mia favorite Henry had high praise for was the Linguini with White Clam Sauce, stating the combination of the White Wine Butter sauce and subtle seafood blend made this classic dish a perfect choice for diners who are looking to go light on the calories but heavy on flavor. After sampling several items on the Legend’s menu, Henry spoke about how only Monroe’s of Palm Beach and Council Oak at the Hard Rock were the only two steak houses in South Florida who offer such an amazing deal on the Tomahawk.
The Tuesday Tomahawk special includes a bottle of Tito’s and a top center cut 36 oz steak for $100.00. This same deal would be double the price at any other establishment. He also found the pricing of the 6 oz Filet special for $24.99, that comes with a baked potato and broccoli exceptional, stating this would be priced in the $40.00 range at other top steak houses.
Lastly, the culinary connoisseur, who now travels South Florida to all of the best eateries, said, “who would expect 5 star dining in a lounge attached to an adult night club?” To find out more about Legend’s steak selections and specials and Thursday night’s Casa Mia specials, check out monroesofpalmbeach.com
